From Bissau to Palau, in the shade of Avalon!
From Fiji to Tiree and the Isles of Ebony!
From Peru to Cebu hear the power of Babylon!
From Bali to Cali, far beneath the Coral Sea!

There is no escape. You can’t be a vagabond and an artist and still be a solid citizen, a wholesome, upstanding man. You want to get drunk, so you have to accept the hangover. You say yes to the sunlight and pure fantasies, so you have to say yes to the filth and the nausea. Everything is within you, gold and mud, happiness and pain, the laughter of childhood and the apprehension of death. Say yes to everything, shirk nothing. Don’t try to lie to yourself. You are not a solid citizen. You are not a Greek. You are not harmonious, or the master of yourself. You are a bird in the storm. Let it storm! Let it drive you! How much have you lied! A thousand times, even in your poems and books, you have played the harmonious man, the wise man, the happy, the enlightened man. In the same way, men attacking in war have played heroes, while their bowels twitched. My God, what a poor ape, what a fencer in the mirror man is- particularly the artist- particularly myself!

There are two kinds of scientific progress: the methodical experimentation and categorization which gradually extend the boundaries of knowledge, and the revolutionary leap of genius which redefines and transcends those boundaries. Acknowledging our debt to the former, we yearn, nonetheless, for the latter.

Just watched a movie called ‘You’re the apple of my eye’, which is a Taiwanese movie. Gotta thank Joel for sharing a video link for the whole movie uploaded by a youtuber! Handsome/Cute lead actor/actress in this nice movie. There’s a bittersweet ending to the movie which is probably based on the movie writer’s personal experiences.
I feel that there’s a few points to gather from this movie:
1. When a girl offers to reveal whether she likes you, just shut up and listen
2. Avoid organising a fighting competition
3. Plastic bottles can store more than water and soft drinks

The link to the movie: http://youtu.be/2940hHv3wRc (no english subs)

The substructure of the universe regresses infinitely towards smaller and smaller components. Behind atoms we find electrons, and behind electrons, quarks. Each layer unraveled reveals new secrets, but also new mysteries.
